Adobe Acrobat Pro DC requires that one signs into the application before it will work for things like opening PDFs, printing PDFs and other ways to work with PDFs. This login expires on occasionally and needs to be done again. If you find that all of a sudden you can't work with PDFs, first sign into Adobe Acrobat DC. Here's How:
Launch Adobe Acrobat DC and in the upper right, select "Sign In"
Click the "Sign In Now" button in the lower right of the pop up that appears.
Your sign in is your email address and your password is your Adobe password - This can be different from your NYSERDA password and is not connected to your NYSERDA password.
If you've forgotten your Adobe password, you can click the "Forgot password" link. This will ask for your email address and will send you a link to reset your password.
Once you have your password, click "Sign In" and you'll be logged into Adobe acrobat.
