Intern Application Process

Introduction

The instructions below provide guidance on the application process to become eligible as an intern for the NYSERDA Clean Energy Internship Program.

Applicant & Address Information

Fill in the following required information under Applicant Information:

  • First/Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number

Document your current residing Address Information.

Intern applicants cannot apply if residing out of the State.

Applicant Demographics

Select a checkbox for NYSERDA to determine your eligibility.

This is a self select category that determines the eligibility that affects the candidates to participate in the Internship Program. The following field might open as a required field based on your selection.

Enter your most recent Education Institution.

Enter your Field of Study.

Select all that applies to you in the drop-down menu. The following field(s) wil open based on your selection.

Select appropriate answer from the drop-down menu. The following field might open based on your selection.

Select all that applies to you for the internship.

Select all that applies to you for area(s) of interest.

Select the appropriate checkbox.

Leave any additional information in the comments.

Required Documents

Upload your resume and cover letter, which will be shared with prospective employers.

Residency Documentation, acceptable documentation includes:

  • Driver's license
  • Cell phone bill
  • Lease agreement
  • Evidence of mail sent to you at your home address

Please obscure or black out ID and account numbers on submitted documentation.

This step is optional. Provide official/non-official transcript.

This step is optional. Provide any addtional document(s) that would help us determine your eligibility and get you hired as an intern. 

Review and Certification

By clicking the check box, you are authorizing NYSERDA to act on your behalf to locate a business that would hire you as an intern.
