Hardware: Secure Printing

The instructions on this page review how to configure Secure Printing from the office. Secure printing requires you to establish a pin code to enter in on a NYSERDA printer to ensure that only you are able to access the printed file from a printer.

Either click Ctrl+P on your keyboard or click File then Print from the application menu. Then, select your printer of choice.

Click Printer Properties located under the name of the selected printer.

Select Secure Print from the Job Type drop-down.

The Password Prompt window will open. Type in a 4-10 digit Numeric Password. This is the password that will be used on the selected printer.

Press OK on each screen until you are returned to the initial print set-up screen.

Click Print.

Then, from the physical printer selected in the above steps, click on the Jobs option. You may need to click on the Home button first to access the Jobs option.

On the next screen, click on Secure Jobs.

Find your job by looking for your Computer Login ID on the Secure Jobs list and click to select your account.

Enter the Password you established in a previous step on this page. Printing will initiate.
