SecureAuth Authenticate App Registration

This page provides guidance on how to register the SecureAuth Authenticate app for your phone.

Click the following link from a computer to bring you to the login page: http://secure.nyserda.ny.gov/SecureAuth998/SecureAuth.aspx.

Login with your NYSERDA Username and Password.

Choose where you want to receive your registration code. Email is set as the default. If you do not have access to your NYSERDA email, choose the Contact helpdesk option.

Enter the code once you have received it.

Follow onscreen instructions by first downloading the SecureAuth Authenticate application on your phone. Note: the QR code here is only an example. Use the QR code that appears on screen

After SecureAuth Authenticate has been installed on your phone, open it. If prompted to allow camera access, click accept. Then, scan the QR code on your computer screen. Once scanned, the system will add the NYSERDA account.

Click on the account, then select Go to App Lock.

 

Create Pin, this number is specific to this registration.

 

Toggle the slider bar next to Passcode on to create a unique pin to access your account.

 

Create a unique 4-digit pin and confirm it.

The passcode toggle will now show as active. Click Done on the top-left of the screen.

Confirm that the verification code visible on your computer and phone are the same, then click Enable.

Once the connection is complete, you will receive a confirmation page. Your SecureAuth Authenticate app is now set up.
